What is A57?
A is Adventures, and we are passionate about adventure. 57 is the telephone code of Colombia, and we are passionate about Colombia. Therefore A57 means Adventures in Colombia.
Adventures 57 is the only operator in Colombia that acts as the Official Partner of BMW Motorrad. We have the support of the brand worldwide. Our mission is exceptional service and provide unique experiences for our customers.
How much experience do I need?
The experience levels are very relative between pilots. A driver who has been riding for 20 years can be as good or not as good as a driver who has been riding for 2 years. Our minimum requirement is 2 years. Off-road experience is recommended but not mandatory. But honestly you only know how good a pilot you are, if you have questions or questions about your experience contact us and we will let you know if it is enough for our tours.
Technical aspects
What model are motorcycles?
A57 owns its motorcycle fleet BMW Motorrad. We replace the bikes every 25,000 km or every year. The thing that happens first.
Can I use my own motorcycle on the A57 tours?
If you can use your own motorcycle. If you want to use your own motorcycle you are responsible for all the papers are in order and that the motorcycle is in good mechanical condition.
Are there any age restrictions?
Pilots must be over 22. Pilots over 65 need to present a certificate from their doctor stating they are fit to drive a motorcycle. All pilots must have at least 2 years of experience. Passengers must be over 12 years old.
How many guides per tour?
There will always be 2 guides per tour, one on a motorcycle and another in the support vehicle. Except for the smaller tours where there will only be 1 guide on a motorcycle.
What languages do the guides speak?
All our guides speak English and Spanish. Some are fluent in other languages too.
What kind of training do the guides have?
Our guides have taken track and off-road courses. Everyone has at least 5 years of experience. They also have first aid and mechanical knowledge certifications.

Where is Colombia?
Colombia is located in South America. It is the gate between Central and South America. Our neighboring countries are: Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil and Panama.
Is the country dangerous?
It is no secret to anyone that Colombia had serious internal security problems, but the situation has improved dramatically in the last 10 years. Tourism is on the rise with an annual increase of 10%. It is completely safe to come and visit and travelers from all over the world are discovering everything they had not been able to know. The only risk is that you want to stay.
What kind of weather conditions will we face?
Colombia is a place of contrasts and a lot of variety. Usually we will be traveling through areas of hot and hot weather. Temperatures will vary between 10 degrees to 40 degrees centigrade. We will be in places from 0 meters to 4000 meters.
How long will we be on the road?
Normally we start the days between 7-9 in the morning and we ride until 4-5 in the afternoon. Sometimes the days will be a little longer or shorter.
